Privacy Statement

Personal information collected by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) is treated as confidential and is protected by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Personal information is information relating to an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion provided.

Site Visit Data

This site is operated by CSIRO with assistance from a number of external service providers.

When visiting this site, a record of your visit is logged. The following information is recorded for statistical purposes and is used by CSIRO to help improve the site. The following information is supplied by your browser:

CSIRO will collect your personal information when you contact us or attempt to place an order via the website.  The information that CSIRO will collect may include your:

This information will be used for the purpose that you provided it for, and CSIRO may also use it as required for processing any inquiries or orders, and where you have consented, providing you with further product or other relevant information.

CSIRO may also provide your information to third party contractors who assist in processing orders or managing the website.  Your information will remain subject to the requirements under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

CSIRO will not otherwise disclose this information without your consent except where CSIRO may be required by law to disclose certain information.

CSIRO will, at your request, provide you with access to any information which CSIRO has collected about you through this website in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
